It’s a fact – there are good and very good Thai restaurants. Noï is definitely one of the latter – open since 1989 (yes, that went quick, didn’t it?) Noï impresses without being overblown. And there are two pairs of hands at work here – Olivier Schmidt is front of house while his beautiful wife Noï Dokdaeng is the talented chef.
The premises were formerly joinery, and Noï acknowledges the past with several features, including various objects d’art from the craft industries, and there’s also a beautiful hanging garden, in which, on fine days, you can be served by charming waitresses to complete your contentment. In short, a big Asian restaurant – as we said, one that’s in the ‘very good’ category.
